Introducing Orbit, now in beta
Chat when you need an answer. Switch to Build and Orbit writes code, runs it and uses a desktop in a computer of its own, asking before anything consequential.
Orbit is now in beta on the web at orbit.hexelstudio.com. Sign in with your Hexel Studio account and start a chat.
Most of the time you want an answer, and Orbit gives you one. Pick how hard it should think: Fast for quick replies, Expert when it should take its time, Heavy for the hardest problems.
Build: a computer of its own
Switch the composer to Build and Orbit runs your task in an isolated cloud workspace with a code environment and a full Linux desktop. It can fetch public data, write and run code, use the desktop, start app previews and hand back files you can download.
The workspace panel shows what it is doing as it does it, across Canvas, Desktop, Files and Terminal. You can take control of the desktop at any point and hand it back when you are done.
It asks first
Before an action that reaches outside the workspace, Orbit stops and asks. The approval card says exactly what it wants to do; nothing happens until you approve it.
What's next
Orbit for iOS and Android is on the way. Until then, Orbit works in the browser on your phone.
